To find the error in this, you must count how many blacks and how many whites. To make it even, you add the even black/white on the eighth line. Parity Cards are just like matching and patterns. You have to go in groups and make the square 8 by 8 and make them so the blacks and whites even. Then, get someone to turn around in your group and switch out one of the cards, making one of the horizontal/vertical lines odd. The person then has to choose which one and flip it over again. Try this with all the group. You could make it bigger, make it more of a challenge.
Decomposition is when you pretty much have to find the odd one out and flip it over. With Parity Cards, you have to find the odd card out and flip it over. You have to memorize where it is, where it's supposed to go etc.
